I love creating pieces with texture and layers. If my art makes you want to touch it, then I’ve done my job! I like using construction grade materials.
For example, latex wall paint, joint compound, wood glue and cardboard, among other items.
I’m also a big proponent of using what you have and taking ordinary things and combining them in an interesting and appealing way. The aim is to add depth, texture and a mood. This piece is 8×10 on a pine wood base.
